Aim and Objectives: This study was conducted to monitor changes in blood pressure in healthy volunteers in respect of different phases of moon. Introduction: The lunar cycle has been fascinated humankind for millennia in various aspects of human lives. Since position of Sun, Moon, Earth and there rotations creates a gravitational force that affects on Earth’s water level which brings tides on sea (rise and fall of sea levels). Human body consists of 50-60% of water, perhaps body water might also affect such as sea tides may say ‘human tidal waves’. It may cause biochemical, physical and/or physiological changes. Different studies have been evidenced for effect of Moon on the cardiovascular system. Hypertension is a common cardiovascular problem worldwide. Hypertension is a common disease that is simply defined as persistently elevated arterial blood pressure. Materials and methods: The present study was conducted on 12 healthy subjects, carried out on particular days according to different phases of lunar month, i.e. in new moon, first quarter, full moon and third quarter. Result: This study shows no any significant difference in BP at specific day. The systolic and diastolic pressure is less fluctuating in different phases of lunar rhythm; however blood pressure changes subject to subject depending upon age, sex, BMI, physical activity, stress, etc. Discussion: Results are not somewhat satisfying, may psychosomatic behavior and other factors may also interrupt during study. Study will continues on more number of subjects with a variety of groups.

Keywords: Lunar cycle, Water, Hypertension, Indian calendar, Lunacy, Significant.
