ABSTRACT
The five membered cyclic imide derivatives were prepared by reacting succinic anhydride with substituted aromatic amines and napthyl amine to get 3-(N-phenylcarbamoyl) propanoic acid and 3-(Nnapthylcarbamoyl) propanoic acid. These intermediates underwent ring closer with acetyl chloride furnished five membered cyclic imides derivatives. All these derivatives were screened for antimicrobial activities.
