Abstract

Pharmacovigilance is defined as the science and activities involved in the detection, assessment, understanding and prevention of adverse effects or any other drug related problem. No drug is completely safe, most treatment indications involve diseases that are not life threating and are often chronic, requiring years of medical therapy an efficient healthcare system will facilitate a sustainable pharmacovigilance practice the improvement of locally relevant patient centered practice demands a pharmacovigilance culture.
