A REVIEW: HAIR COSMECEUTICAL - A NEED OF HOUR
Khushi Gupta* and Swarup J. Chattarjee
. Abstract Humans can use their hair for sensory, sexual, and protective purposes. So, since the dawn of time, people have altered the appearance of their hair with cosmetics and other methods. The cosmetics industry has created effective treatments that can be applied to healthy hair or used to treat concurrent hair- and scalp-related disorders. Over the past two decades, the hair cosmetics sector has seen a revolutionary upheaval. The emphasis has radically changed from merely cleaning to repairing, boosting development, raising tensile strength, and minimising oxidative damage. Alopecia and scalp treatments are more likely to be adhered to by patients with the help of hair cosmetics. To alter the hair cosmetically, changes must be made to the cuticle, cortex, and medulla. External changes to the hair can be made by using shampoos to get rid of extra sebum, conditioners to restore shine, and style products to make it easier to manage. Depending on the patient's demands, each of these products is available in a variety of formulations. The dermatologist's understanding of hair care products, how to use them, and any potential side effects can extend to their knowledge of cosmetic resources and aid them in treating hair and scalp conditions more effectively in light of the variety of hair types and ethnicities. When people buy hair cosmetics based on their scalp type, hair condition, and hair type, the main consideration is the hair cosmetic effect. Most people use products for their rinse, treatment, and hair essence. They use a variety of hair care products for hair styling, rinse their hair after shampooing, and use hair essence products for different hair types' specific hair protection. It is evident that they appreciate how important hair maintenance is. Reviews of shampoos, conditioners, hair products, hair colours, and bleaching are included in this page about hair cosmetics.
