MENSTRUAL CYCLE [RAJASWALA PARICHARYA] AND ITS HYGIENE AS PER AYURVEDA

. Abstract Artava lies the importance of maintaining menstrual health for a healthy progeny. Menstruation can be consider as an additional opportunity of the body for cleansing or removal of toxins. In womanhood important physiological manifestation is Rutuchakra i.e menstrual cycle further which gives her identity of motherhood. Menstruation is a cyclic process & repeats every month. When the menstrual cycle itself is consider the menstrual phase is dominant by Pitta dosha later the influence of kapha persist a few days before ovulation. During the time of ovulation the Vata dosha become powerful enough to propel the ovum out of the follicle. In the absence of fertilization Vata gives way for pitta during the pre-menstrual days & during menstruation most of the discomfort during menstruation are because of imbalance if doshas. So within the inherent constitution frame work of doshas timely & purposeful administration of aushadha, aahara and vihara will restore the doshic balance.
