A REVIEW ARTICLE ON DRUG SCREENING AND ITS APPLICATION

. Abstract Drug screening is increasingly being used in drug discovery programs with a growing number of successful applications. Experimental methodologies developed to speed up the drug discovery processes include high-throughput screening and combinatorial chemistry. This present review is foccusedthe integration of virtual and experimental screening. There is also mention the various method used in the virtual screening such as ligand based and structure based method. On the other hand, many virtual screening method such as Pharmacophore modelling, and molecular docking and QSAR have been developed to study these libraries. These model allow for the selection of molecules to be synthesized and tested with a high probability of success. The virtual combinatorial chemistry virtual screening tendons has become a fundamental tool in the process of searching for and developing drug as it allows the process to be accelerated with the extraordinary economic saving.
