A REVIEW ON : DRUG DESIGN (A REVOLUTION IN PHARMA RESEARCH)
Swati Gupta* and Raj Kumar
. Abstract Drug design is a well developed pharmaceutical discipline with a long history. Many developments have been achieved in the field of drug design since Emil Fisher hypothesised at the end of the 19th century that the drug-receptor interaction is comparable to the interaction between a key and a lock. Drug development has steadily evolved into a reasoned, methodical discipline with a solid theoretical underpinning. usage in actual circumstances. Drug design is now the most cuttingedge strategy for discovering novel medications. To achieve its main goal, which is to discover effective, focused, non-toxic, and secure solutions, it makes use of scientific and technical breakthroughs and merges them into its wide range of tools. and secure medicines. The application of artificial intelligence has accelerated the development of drug design, one of the modern sciences that is being explored most actively. This review's objectives are to outline some of the most important historical advancements in drug design, highlight some of the most widely used current approaches, and sketch out the author's vision for the future. The review briefly touches on a number of topics connected to drug design without pretending to cover them all. The papers in Molecules' special "Drug Design—Science and Practice" issue are read by the reader. Keywords: Drug design, drug discovery and development,QSAR, Artificial intelligence.
