Abstract

Oral submucous fibrosis (OSMF) is a chronic debilitating disease. On analyzing the disease condition with Ayurvedic approach, it seems to be nearer to Vataj Mukhpak and Pittaj Mukhpak to some extent. Excessive use of betel nut chewing & tobacco consumption is important causative factor for OSMF.
