CONCEPTUAL STUDY OF SHUKRA DHATU IN PRESENT SCENERIO

. Abstract Shukra Dhatu is a vital component of the human body, consisting of three Dosha, seven Dhatu, and three Mala, which collectively form the primary basic unit of the living body. Among the seven Dhatus, Shukra Dhatu is considered the best, as it is white, pure, and an excellent substance located throughout the body. It is derived from the Jala Mahabhuta and counted as a Kapha Vargiya Dravya, possessing Shadrasa. Sperm, along with spermatic fluid and male sex hormones, are a part of Shukradhatu. The quantity of Shukra Dhatu in the human body is approximately half (½) of an Anjali. The metamorphosis of Ahara Rasa into Shukra Dhatu takes almost a month. Shukra Dhatu is responsible for Garbhotpadana or reproduction, and any vitiation of Shukradhatu may lead to male infertility. Shukradhatudusti or pathology of Shukra Dhatu can present as Vriddhi (hyper state) or Kshaya (waning). Therefore, Shukra Dhatu is an essential entity in the context of male reproductive health, and understanding its significance can help promote healthy reproduction and prevent male infertility.
