A REVIEW ON: CONTINUOUS MANUFACTURING IN PHARMACEUTICALS

. Abstract Continuous manufacturing has emerged as a disruptive paradigm in the pharmaceutical industry, offering significant advantages over traditional batch manufacturing processes. This survey paper explores the application of continuous manufacturing in pharmaceuticals and its impact on the drug development and production landscape. The abstract highlights the key benefits of continuous manufacturing, such as enhanced product quality, reduced costs, and improved efficiency. The paper begins with an introduction to the concept of continuous manufacturing, providing an overview of its principles and technological advancements. A comprehensive literature survey of ten selected research works follows, covering a range of applications and case studies in continuous pharmaceutical manufacturing. The review emphasizes the benefits, challenges, and regulatory considerations associated with adopting continuous manufacturing. The conclusion summarizes the key findings from the literature survey, and offers insights into the potential of continuous manufacturing to revolutionize pharmaceutical production.
