. Abstract Objective:- To assess the knowledge and attitude of medical undergraduates towards pediatric and geriatric pharmacology. Method:- A cross-sectional survey is conducted among 2nd year medical students, in the form of pre-test containing questions about pediatric and geriatric pharmacology. After sensitisation on topic same questions were provided in the form of post-test and results were analysed which is presented in form of comparable table and chart. Result:- Out of 250 students, 123 (49.20%) students responded in the pre-test while 130 (52%) responded during the post-test. During the pre-test, 48.8% were female and 51.2% were male while during the post-test, 43.8% were female and 56.2% were male. After conducting the post-test survey, we found a highly significant improvement in knowledge and attitude towards pediatric and geriatric pharmacology. Conclusion:- Inclusion of these topics in undergraduate curriculum is a good initiative by NMC but there is need to conduct more CMEs, symposium, and workshops in medical colleges to update the knowledge regarding PP/GP among medical undergraduates. Keywords: pediatric pharmacology, geriatric pharmacology, Pre-test, Post-test. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
