Abstract Dyslipidemia, characterized by abnormal blood lipid levels, is a significant risk factor for cardiovascular diseases and metabolic disorders.[1] Conventional management primarily involves pharmacological therapy, which may have long-term side effects.[2] Ayurveda offers a holistic approach focusing on lifestyle regulation, dietary management, and herbal therapeutics to restore metabolic balance. Dyslipidemia is correlated with Medoroga in Ayurveda, resulting from Kapha and Pitta imbalance due to sedentary lifestyle and improper diet. Herbal remedies like Guggulu and Triphala have shown lipid-lowering and antioxidant effects, while Panchakarma therapies enhance metabolic function and aid detoxification. Clinical studies suggest that Ayurvedic interventions can improve serum lipid profiles, providing a safe and complementary strategy for prevention and management of dyslipidemia.[3] Integrating Ayurveda with modern lifestyle practices may offer sustainable control of dyslipidemia and its complications.
