ETHNOBOTANICAL SURVEY OF MEDICINAL PLANTS IN WARANGALRURAL DISTRICT, TELANGANA, INDIA

Abstract

Collection of medicinal plant is known as ethno botanical survey of medicinal plants. Collection medicinal plants most important for further documentation. Ethno botanical survey was conducted in various, indigenous groups in Warangal rural district of Telangana. The information was collected from herbal practitioners and journals. The present survey provided information about eighty medicinal plants with medicinal properties. The herbal practitioners and rural peoples are helped to identify and collect medicinal plants. In these plants some are used to treat common skin diseases and some are used to treat dangerous diseases like gonorrhea, syphilis, tuberculosis, cancer etc.
