Abstract

DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION OF UV SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC METHOD FOR THE SIMULTANEOUS ESTIMATION OF CILNIDIPINE AND BISOPROLOL FUMARATE IN TABLET DOSAGE FORM

Abstract

The UV spectrophotometric method for the simultaneous estimation of Cilnidipine and Bisoprolol Fumarate has been developed, using simultaneous equation method. The method is based on the measurement of absorbance of Cilnidipine and Bisoprolol Fumarate at their respective wavelength of 241 nm and 224 nm in methanol. It obeyed Beer’s law in the concentration range 4-12 μg/ml and 2-6 μg/ml respectively with correlation coefficient 0.9993 for both Cilnidipine and Bisoprolol Fumarate. The results have been validated as per ICH guidelines.
