Abstract

Objectives: The study aimed at assessing the effects of a synthetic pyrethroid cypermethrin (10% EC) on Indian major carp (Catla catla) on the basis of the results of sub lethal toxicity tests and hematological and biochemical examinations. Methods: Experimental carp were exposed to the pesticide cybermethrin 10% EC in the concentration of 0.0006 ml/lit (24hLC50 corresponding to 0.0006 ml/lit) of cypermethrin in a 24 h sub lethal toxicity test.
