GC, GC/MS CHARACTERIZATION OF THE ENICOSTEMA LITTORALE

Abstract

The whole plant parts of Enicostema littorale collected around from the Tirunel veli District obtained good yield. The crude extract was examined by a combination of capillary GC and GC/MS. In some instances the structure elucidation based on GC and GC/MS data had to be corrected. More than thirty six constituents were found. This study clearly illustrates the advantage of complementary identification techniques.
