SAFTEY PROFILE OF SOOTHSHEKHARA RASA; COMMONLY USED HERBOMINERAL PRODUCT IN AYURVEDA

Abstract

Sootheshekharrasa is a herbo-mineral product mentioned in texts of Ayurveda, used in the treatment of dyspepsia, gastritis, vomiting, abdominal pain etc. In past few years, serious concern is expressed over safety of mineral, metal and herbo-mineral products used in Indian system of medicine. in this paper acute toxicity study profile of Soothshekahararasa, conducted on animal model, and its results have been elaborated.
