OXADIZOLE: A SYNTHETIC AND BIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE MOIETY

Abstract Oxadiazole is a five membered heterocyclic nucleus and it having wide range of attention of the chemist. Substituted 1,3,4- oxadiazole are found to exhibit diverse biological activities such as antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anticancer activity. The present review attempts to summarize the various routes of synthesis and the reaction of 1,3,4 and 1,2,4- oxadiazole and its derivatives and focus on their biological activity.
