HOSPITAL ENVIRONMENT: AN INDOOR AIR MICROBIAL SPECIES ASSESSMENTOkoror L.E., Otoikhian C.S.O*

Abstract Indoor air samples were collected from different hospitals and processed for identification of various predominant bacteria and fungi. The overall counts of Gram-positive organisms were found to be higher than Gram-negative organisms. Organisms isolated from the samples were staphylococcus spp, corynebacterium dipthesive, Psuedomonas aeruginosa, Bacellus spp, streplococcus spp, listeria Monocytogens, Buterococcus Feacalis, Enterobactor acrogens and moraxella catarrhalis while staphylococcus spp were the most abundant in the organism isolated.
