Abstract

In ayurveda many herbo-mineral formulation are described by acharyas. Uses of such formulation are steadily growing in management of various diseases. Various researches proved rasa kalpas are very useful for the management of manas vikara. Specialties of these kalpas are designing of the drug as per requirement to reduce the symptoms and complication of disease. Bruhat Brahmi vati is rarely practiced Ayurveda formulation. Present study aimed to compile all available literature regarding pharmacological actions and properties of drug. It indicated in manas vikaras, unmad, apsmara, pakshaghata, sannipataj jwara etc. The review may provide the information with clue of further systematic investigation.
