EFFECT OF DADRUHAR MALAHAR IN DADRU W.S.R DERMATOPHYTOSIS- A CASE STUDY

Abstract
Acharya Sushruta and Vagbhata has explained Dadru under Maha- Kushtha but Acharya Charaka explained under Kshudra Kushtha. Acharyas not explained separate Nidana, Purvarupe, Samprapti and Chikitsa of Dadru Kushtha. But Dadru Kushtha spreads one person to another through contact of skin, sharing clothes, cosmetic items and barbers instrument. Dadru can be diagnosed by sign and symptoms like – Kandu (Itching), Raga (Redness or discoloration), Pidika (Pappulo-vesciculation), Mandala (Rounded lesion or patches) in centrifugally pattern. Especially in this case depending on Nidana and Lakshana it was diagnosed as Aupsargik Dadru- Kushtha. In the present case, a patient of 20 years come to Rishikul OPD with complaints of red circular patches, with itching and discoloration of skin over left cheek and upper area of breast fold. She was treated with Dadruhara Malahara for local application for 30 days. The drug shows significant improvement in itching and size of patch.
