Abstract

Traditional medicine consist different healing aid among that Bone setting is important one. In Batticaloa Traditional healers mainly focus on bone setting. In Koddai kallar in Batticalo also traditional healers practice bone setting. However the outcome of the involvement is highly appreciated. The aim of the study is discover the types fracture management, understanding and gratitude the traditional knowledge and problems of the bone setting by traditional physician. The study was conducted at their own clinics of traditional physicians. The data and problems was collected and documented at their own clinics. The analyzed data said the knowledge of bone setting is passed one generation to another. There is no formal training on bone setting. Tough the treatment method vary among the traditional physicians. From this study period totally 120 patients present in the clinics. According to the finding the modern world also seeking the traditional physician for the fracture and also prove that the success rates of traditional management of fracture. That is indicate our Traditional medicine not ruining.
