Abstract

COMPARATIVE STUDY OF ANTI-ARTHRITIC ACTIVITY OF DIFFERENT EXTRACTS OF THEVETIA PERUVIANA LEAF

Abstract

The present study is aimed to evaluate the leaf extract of Thevetia peruviana for acclaimed anti-arthritic activity using in-vitro inhibition of protein denaturation model. Diclofenac sodium was used as a standard drug. Results revealed that the chloroform extract of Thevetia peruviana possessed significant anti arthritic activity as compared to aqueous and ethanolic extracts and standard drug diclofenainc sodium. The plant leaf extract showed dose dependent activity.
