Abstract

UV- VISIBLE PHOTOMETRIC ESTIMATION OF COX 2 BLOCKER IN BULK AND ITS DOSAGE FORM

Abstract

A new simple, precise, sensitive, highly specific and economical ultraviolet spectrophotometric method for the determination of Celecoxib in bulk and its pharmaceutical Formulation (dispersible tablets and capsules) has been developed. The גּmax values of Celecoxib in methanol and 0.001N sodium hydroxide in the ratio 2:1 v/v were 253.2 nm. Beer’s law is obeyed over concentration range of 8 to 22 g/ml with correlation coefficient r > 0.9998. The result of analysis for the method has been validated stastically and by recovery studies.
