COMPARATIVE PHYTOCHEMICAL STUDY OF SHALAPARNI AND SHALAPARNI KSHEERAPAKA

Abstract Ayurved classics are a rich compendium of several drugs and their combinations for treatment in various diseases. Dosage forms play a vital role in effective efficacy of the drug. Shalaparni a important formulation of Dashamula is stated to be used in the form of ksheerapaka in hridaygata vata. Ksheerapaka is a unique doasage form of ayurved. Ksheerapaka has benefits of they are good for heart and are palatable. So a study was carried to understand differences phytochemically, this revaled presence of flavonoids, alkaloids, glycosides in Shalaparni and Shalparni Ksheerpaka. Keywords: .
