A REVIEW ARTICLE ON PRE-ECLAMPSIA AND ECLAMPSIA

Abstract
Pre-eclampsia and eclampsia are two hypertensive disorders of
pregnancy, considered major causes of maternal and perinatal death
world wide. Its exact etiology is unknown. Eclampsia occurs in 10% of
all pregnancy. Eclampsia is the onset of seizures in a woman with preeclampsia.
Preeclampsia is a multisystemic disease characterized by
the development of hypertension after 20 weeks of gestation, with the
presence of proteinuria or, in its absence, of signs or symptoms
indicative of target organ injury. scientific contributions have shaped
current practice trends. This review is to describe the most
recommended pharmacological treatment for pre-eclampsia-Eclampsia
in pregnant women during the gestational and anti partum period.
