Abstract From time immemorial, human being has tried to become beautiful by the use different cosmetics provide by nature. The inspiration of this natural instinct is possibly traced by the changing sequence of moments of nature. As man grew, the interest of ornate by various resources was also developed. Consequently the factors and kinds of makeup are changing according to need of the different kaal, avastha and paatrabheda. Acharya Hazari Prasad Dwivedi, has used the term “saundrya” for natural beauty. Various principles participating in the formation of varna in Ayurveda.
