Abstract

FORMULATION OF LIQUISOLID SYSTEM OF A POORLY SOLUBLE DRUG

Abstract

The main objectives of the present work are to enhance the drug loading capacity in liquisolid system, increase the flow property due to decrement in required volume of nonvolatile solvent and enhance the solubility of drug in nonvolatile solvent by using mixed solvency concept. Naproxen was selected as model poorly water soluble drug for exploring the mixed solvency concept to enhance the solubility and hence to enhance the release rate of drug.
