Abstract

ANTI OXIDANT ACTIVITY OF LEAVES AND ROOT OF STEREOSPERMUM COLAIS.

Abstract

Stereospermum colais is a tree very rarely found in India. As per literature survey of plant there are very few research has been conducted and different parts of plant has significant actions against many disease such as anti cancer, anti diabetic, anti ulcer, anti oxidants etc. In present study, antioxidant activity of methanol extract was evaluated using DPPH and nitrite induced methaemoglobin formation methods, and results showed that antioxidant activity of DEPO was higher at higher concentration.
