The floating in situ gel forming systems are one of the most interesting systems in oral drug delivery. To prolong the gastric residence time and control the rate of drug release which can improve oral bioavailability and reduce frequency of dosing. The main aim of this review is to focus on insitu gel principle, mechanism, properties, advantages, and its formulation, evaluation, and applications as floating insitu gel system. Keywords: .
