A REVIEW: GOUT AND ITS MANAGEMENT

Abstract Gout is a disease in which defective metabolism of uric acid causes arthritis, especially in the smaller bones of the feet, deposition of chalk- stones, and episodes of acute pain. The majority of gout cases are treated with medication. Medication can be used to treat the symptoms of gout attacks, prevent future flares, and reduce the risk of gout complications such as kidney stones and the development of trophy.
