AYURVEDIC APPROACH FOR AHIPUTANA

Abstract Ayurvedic treaties have described a number of paediatric diseases called as Balaroga. Ahiputana presently correlated as napkin rash or diaper dermatitis. During infancy the skin around the perianal region is continuously remain contact with urine, stool and other wastes the result skin rashes and burning sensation. Modern science advised antifungal and antibacterial treatment which sometimes causes some complications. Acharya Sushruta and Vagbhatta has described large number of formulations to treat this disease. This article describes ayurvedic perspective of Ahiputana.
