FORECASTING OF COMPLICATIONS OF FACIAL NERVE NEUROPATHY ACCORDING TO THE RESULTS OF ELECTRONEUROMYOGRAPHY
*Rakhmatova D. I.
Abstract Neuropathies of the facial nerve until now remain one of the most urgent problems in neurology, and urgency of the problem is determined by the high frequency of complications arising and, psycho-emotional states occurring in patients as a result. We examined 58 patients with neuropathy of facial nerve (NFN). Patients were analyzed according to clinical and electroneuromyographic (ENMG) data, there are compared results according to prescription of the process. The most frequently studied ENMG parameters were compared to determine favorable and unfavorable recovery forecasts. It was revealed that up to 7 days of illness, the most informative ENMG parameter for NFN is determination of the threshold of M-response and study of blinking reflex; from 7 to 15 days, level of decrease in the amplitude of M-response on the affected side is informative; from the 23rdday it’s is noteworthy presence of dyskinesia of facial muscles. In this thesis there comparedNFN with complicated and uncomplicated forms of the disease, with correlation of obtained ENMG data. Keywords: neuropathy of facial nerve, electroneuromyography, blinking reflex, amplitude of M-response, ENMG coefficient, contracture. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
