Abstract
We report a case of uterine perforation occurring after aspiratory
curettage. A 27-year-old female patient had an abortion by endouterine
aspiration following a hemorrhagic abortion. The operation was
complicated by intraoperative hemorrhage. Imaging revealed a 6 cm
hematoma in the uterine scar. The two main diagnoses that we can
evoke are an arteriovenous malformation or a post-aspiration uterine
rupture. The objective is, starting from the case of a severe hemorrhage
during an endo-uterine aspiration, to discuss the etiology and the
ultrasound diagnosis of this potentially serious complication.
