Abstract

Ayurvedic medicine is considered to be world’s oldest medical system, which is originated in India dating back over thousands of years. There is a long history regarding plants for the improvement of dental health and oral hygiene. In Ayurvedic practice churna is the most widely prescribed dosage form. Dashan Samskar Churna is one of the popular medicament used to treat a number of ailments related to tooth and gums like sheetad, dantsharkara, krimi dant etc. Scanning of available literature revealed that no work has been carried out on detail in appraisal w.s.r to Dashan Samskar Churna.
