A REVIEW ON KANASATAHWADI KASHAYA W.S.R TO AMENORREA

Abstract

The use of medicinal plants to heal or combat diseases is probably as old as humankind. Kanasathahwadi kashaya[1] is explaind in Sahasrayoga in Gulmaprakarana. Its mainly indicated in Raktha gulma. When focusing more on to its properties of drugs, it is useful in most of the Streeroga cases like Arthavakshaya, Nashtarthava, PCOS and Vandhyathwa where Amenorrea is the main symptom. Most of the drugs are Kapha-vata hara, Vatanulomana, Raktha vardhaka, medohara and agneya. By the above properties, these drugs will be able to rectify the aberration in HPO axis and resulting oligo or amenorrhea and anovulation.
