FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF POLY HERBAL SHAMPOO POWDER

Abstract
Herbal cosmetics are referred as “Products formulated using various
permissible cosmetic ingredients to form the base in which one or
more herbal ingredients are used to provide accurate cosmetic benefits.
Shampoos are various types, like powder shampoo, clear liquid
shampoo, lotion shampoo, solid gel shampoo, medicated shampoo,
liquid herbal shampoo, and herbal shampoo etc. As far as the herbal
shampoo are concerned in stability criteria, depending upon the nature
of the ingredients, they may be simple or plain shampoo, antiseptic or
antidandruff shampoo and nutritional shampoo containing vitamin,
amino acids, proteins hydrolysate. It also provides smoothening action
on hair. Due to various adverse effects of available synthetic
preparations, the present study was performed to formulate about F1 to F6 formulations and
evaluate all the six formulations of poly herbal shampoo powder, as herbals are less prone to
side effects, and due to usage of natural ingredients various adverse effects of the available
synthetic preparations. The present study was performed without side effects and can be
extensively used with satisfaction.
