AYURVEDIC MANAGEMENT OF VICHARCHIKA VYADHI WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO ECZEMA- A CASE REPORT

Abstract
In Ayurveda, various skin diseases have been described under the term Kushtha. Vicharchika is one type of skin disease like Dermatitis, which is similar to Eczema, It is a common chronic, relapsing skin disease characterized by pruritus, disrupted epidermal barrier function, and immunoglobulin E-mediated sensitization to food and environmental allergens. Vicharchika, according to Ayurveda is Rakta Pradoshaja Vikara being involved of three Dosha with dominance of Kapha includes symptoms like Kandu, Daha, Rukshata. In this case study Patient came to our institute suffering from Vicharchika. Patient was treated with Rasa aushadhi like Gandhak rasayana, Arogyavardhini Vati (internal medication) and other local application over the period of 6 months. Patient's condition was assessed for signs and symptoms of eczema which were cured after the treatment. Aim: Aim of this study to evaluate role of Ayurvedic Management of vicharchika (Eczema). Material & methods: In this case study patient treated with Rasa aushadi and other local applicable management over the period of 6 month and result observed. Results: Remarkable changes were found in various sign and symptoms in this patient of vicharchika by Ayurvedic management.
