Abstract

Ojas is a component which is said to be the pure essence of all the Dhatu’s(tissue elements) of the body. It is one amongst the Pranayatana(seat of life). It is required for the normal functioning of all the body elements. It is affected by both physical and psychological factors. The present study is carried out for the proper understanding of Ojas and also to study about the dreadful disease Rajayakshma(Tuberculosis) which has Ojokshaya as its causative factor. The line of treatment to restore the depleted Ojas in terms of both preventive and curative aspect has been mentioned. A potent Ojas keeps the body physically and mentally stable and also imparts good Vyadhikshamatva(immunity) to overcome the diseases.
