DIAGNOSTIC METHODS IN AYURVEDA WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO TRIVIDHPARIKSHA

Abstract

Ayurveda is a science of holistic life. Ayurved is basically a Health science; it has described day to day regimen along with pathyapathya i.e. dos and donts to maintain good health. Also it has described various Diagnostic methods like trividh pariksha, ashthasthan pariksha, dashavidh pariksha and many more, diseases and their treatment protocol in detail. Introduction: Ayurveda has its own and a very specific method of understanding anatomy, physiology and pathology of human body and also a vast description of various diagnostic methods. It has its own and very peculiar protocol to diagnose and to treat a disease. Trividh pariksha is one of the important diagnostic parameters described in many ayurvedic texts. Aim: To compile all the possible references Regarding Trividh Pariksha in Ayurveda texts. Objectives: 1) To Study the diagnostic methods in Ayurveda from ayurvedic texts 2) To enlighten Trividh pariksha and other diagnostic methods in Ayurveda. Material, Method & Review of literature: This is a review article hence all the references are collected from ayurvedic reference texts and compiled together. Discussion: Discussion is done on the basis of references collected and compiled from various Ayurvedic literature. Conclusion: Conclusion is drawn from discussion and the references collected.
