Abstract

A REVIEW ON KEECHAKA TAILA IN DARUNAKA(PITIRIASIS CAPITIS)

Abstract

In Ayurveda literature, the drug is considered as second among the Padachadushtaya, because of its major role in the treatment. In this review an attempt is made to describe the drugs used in the management of Darunaka. In Vangasena Samhita Kshudrarogadikara adyaya, Keechaka Taila mentioned for Shiro Kapalagatha Rogas.[1] Most of the drugs in the Yogas have Kapha-Vatahara, Kantughna, Kushtaghna properties. The combined effect of these drugs over the Doshas is Vata Kapha Shamana leading to Samprapthi Vighatana of Darunaka.
