DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION OF UV SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC METHOD FOR BISOPROLOL FUMARATE IN BULK AND TABLET DOSAGE FORM
Snehal Patil*, Ashpak Tamboli, Shashikant Jokar, Sunil More
Abstract A simple, precise, accurate and cost effective Area under curve UV Spectrosphotometric method was developed for estimation of Bisoprolol fumarate in pharmaceutical dosage form. The principle for AUC method is “the area under two points on the mixture spectra is directly proportional to the concentration of the component of interest.” Drug follows Beers law over the concentration range 5- 25μg/ml with Regression of coefficient 0.997. The accuracy of the method was found to be 100%. The developed method was validated with respect to linearity, precision and accuracy. UV Spectrosphotometric method was developed and the results were validated statistically as per ICH Q2 (R1) guidelines and were found to be satisfactory. Keywords: Bisoprolol fumarate; Area under curve; validation; UV Spectrophotometer. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
