In this review mainly focus on novel drug delivery system with its advantages and disadvantages. in NDDS mainly four types of drug delivery system are gives such as Sustained/ controlled- drug delivery, Localized drug delivery, Rate- pre-programmed drug delivery, Targeted drug delivery with its description, for these methods different types of drug carriers are used for preparation of dosage form in novel drug delivery system such as niosomes, microspheres, phytosomes, dendrimer, chitoson nanopartilces, emulgel and ethosomes with its different methods of preparation and advantages and disadvantages of each carrier.
