Abstract Lawsoniainermisconsist of carbohydrate, flavonoids, saponins, terpenoids, quinones, coumarins, xanthones, resin, and tannins. It also consist of 2-hydroxy-1, 4-naphthoquinone. Many alkaloids, naphthoquinone derivatives, phenolics, and flavonoid, segregated from different parts of Lawsoniainermis. The pharmacological studies showed that Lawsoniainermishas antifungal, antibacterial, antiparasitic, antioxidant, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, molluscicidal hepatoprotective, wound and burn healing, immunomodulatory, antidiabetic, diuretic, antiulcer, antidiarrhoeal, diuretic, anticancer and other pharmacological effects.
