Abstract
Lawsoniainermisconsist of carbohydrate, flavonoids, saponins,
terpenoids, quinones, coumarins, xanthones, resin, and tannins. It also
consist of 2-hydroxy-1, 4-naphthoquinone. Many alkaloids,
naphthoquinone derivatives, phenolics, and flavonoid, segregated from
different parts of Lawsoniainermis. The pharmacological studies
showed that Lawsoniainermishas antifungal, antibacterial,
antiparasitic, antioxidant, analgesic, anti-inflammatory,
molluscicidal hepatoprotective, wound and burn healing,
immunomodulatory, antidiabetic, diuretic, antiulcer, antidiarrhoeal,
diuretic, anticancer and other pharmacological effects. The current
review will high point the chemical constituents and pharmacological
effects of Lawsoniainermis.
