Abstract

A NOVEL ECOFRIENDLY SYNTHESIS OF CHALCONES AND COMPARATIVE CYTOTOXIC STUDY

Abstract

Few chalcones are synthesized from substituted aceto phenones and substituted aryl aldehydes in presence of an efficient, ecofriendly and recyclable catalyst i.e.;- Aqs [Zn/L-Pipiridine -2-oic acid]‖ under reflux condition. Progress of the reaction was monitored by TLC. Obtained chalcones were characterized from I.R., HNMR and mass spectral data. Synthesized compounds were screened for comparative study of cytotoxic analysis.
