A STUDY OF THE EFFICACY OF SHIRISHADI KIKKISAHARA OINTMENT IN THE MANAGEMENT OF KIKKISA W.S.R.TO STRIAE GRAVIDARUM

Abstract

In Ayurveda, in the field of cosmetology, it established unique concept about beauty and effective, cheaper and long lasting Beauty therapy without any side effect. Kikkisa is type of Skin Disease that occurs during pregnancy. According to ayurveda in seventh month due to growing fetus doshas displaces upwords tridosh as are reached at stana, ura and udar and cause kandu utpatti. About 90% women are affected due to kikkisa. Vaivarnya, kandu and vidaha are the main symptom of kikkisa. Many products and invasive technique like plastic surgery, laser is available. Instead of these ayurveda gives golden gift of Garbhini Paricharya. There are many formulations described in samhitas to treat kikkisa, they are natural cost effective and easy to use. Thus Shirishadi kikkisahara Ointment is taken for study.
