LITERARY REVIEW ON STHAVAR VISHAW.S.R. IN AYURVEDIC SAMHITA

Abstract
In Atharvaveda mention two types of visha are found one is sthavara and other is jangama and their management through mantrachikitsa is narrated. Stavar Vishas are Plant & Metal, Khanija origin.A general principle of treatment of poisoning (Visha) is elucidated in CharakaSamhita, SushrutaSamhita, Ashtanga Samgraha & Hridaya. Chraka Samhita has stated symptom and management of Sthavara Visha(Inanimate poison) and Jangama Visha (animate poison) commonly together.[10] However Sushruta Samhita[11], Ashtang Sangraha[12] and AshtangHridaya[13] explainsSthavaraVishaits symptom and management at one place and Jangama Visha its symptom and management in Sarpa Visha context (snake poison). Sthavara Vishas are those which belong to minerals or to group of poisonous herbs. Sthavarvishas are the types of visha, they have many numbers its produces many complication, by this article we can identify the sthavarvisha and its stages. We can treat stage wise and visha dravya wise in the case of Sthavarvisha poisoning.
