ANTIPROLIFERATIVE EFFECT OF SILVER NANOPARTICLES SYNTHESIZED USING VITEX NEGUNDO ON HEPG2 CELL LINE
Amudha Murugan and Krishnakumari Shanmugasundaram*
Abstract The environmental friendly synthesis of nanoparticles process is a revolutionary step in the field of nanotechnology. In this study, the biosynthesis of silver nanoparticles was carried out using Vitex negundo leaf extract as reducing agent. UV–visible spectroscopy was used for quantification of silver nanoparticle synthesis. The synthesized silver nanoparticles were characterized with Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Energy dispersive X- ray analysis (EDX), X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). The anticancer effects of silver nanoparticles were challenged with HepG2 cancerous cells in dose and duration dependent manner. Keywords: Vitex negundo, Silver nanoparticles, anticancer activity, cell line. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
