AN OVERVIEW: ON METHODLOGY PROCESS OF EFFERVESCENT TABLETS
Abhishek Saxena* and Shruti Saxena
Abstract Despite having some drawbacks compared to other approaches, oral delivery formulations are the most common way of taking medication, such as the risk of sluggish absorption of the medication, which can be overcome by administering the drug in liquid form, thus likely allowing a lower dosage to be used. However, its use is limited by the toxicity of certain medications in liquid dosage form. As an alternative, effervescent method can be used to create a dosage type that can improve substance disintegration and breakdown, usually used in preparations for rapid release. Effervescent tablets are more and more widely tailored to the actions of drug release along with the emergence of new pharmaceutical methods, such as continuous and managed release preparations, pulsatile drug delivery systems, etc. The recent implementation of the effervescent technique to effervescent tablets was seen in this study.
