Abstract

A STUDY OF EFFICACY OF TIKTAK GHRITA IN GARAVISHAJANYA VICHARVHIKA

Abstract

Garavishajanya Vicharchika is caused due to consumption of incompatible food for a longer duration. The symptoms of Vicharchika are Kandu, Raji, Twakvaivarnya, Twakjadyata and Sraav. Acharya Vagbhat mentioned Tiktak Ghrita to treat Garavisha and skin conditions like Kushtha (Vicharchika). In order to find effect of Tiktak Ghrita against these above mentioned symptoms developed due to Garavishajanya Vicharchika, this study was conducted. 40 patients of incompatable food consumption were taken for study and are divided in 2 groups. The 2nd group is given a tab Levocetrizine as symptomatic relief. Assessment was done and the study shown moderate improvement with Pathya.
